Dad’s Five Favorite Dishes at Bettolino Kitchen

Father’s Day is right around the corner. And while you can order just about anything online to be delivered for him in the blink of an eye, there is no greater gift than creating memories together around the table with dad’s favorite dishes.

We asked a handful of South Bay dads what their favorite meals here at Bettolino Kitchen are and rounded up the top five to share with you. Bring yours in on Father’s Day (or any other day of the year) to enjoy one of these or our dozens of other specially-crafted menu options together.

Short Rib Hash is one of Dads favorite dishes at Bettolino Kitchen
Short Rib Hash

1. Short Rib Hash
Brunch isn’t just for the ladies – it’s for dads, too. Served exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., our Short Rib Hash features grass-fed Brunette Downs short rib slowly braised for six hours in Il Fauno Super Tuscan wine. We serve it with Tuscan potatoes, mozzarella cheese, eggs, and garlic-toasted ciabatta to create the breakfast of champions.

Hot Italian

2. Hot Italian
Dads love a good sandwich any day of the week. Our Hot Italian is stacked with sliced Italian salami, prosciutto, provolone, pepperoncini, and Italian dressing on toasted rustic bread. Warning: you’ll never look at another sandwich the same way again.

Our Tagliatelle Bolognese is one of Dads favorite dishes at Bettolino Kitchen
Tagliatelle Bolognese

3. Tagliatelle Bolognese
This dish has been a feature on our menu since we opened our doors in 2015, and dads (and moms and kids) keep on coming back for it. Our bolognese has grass-fed ground beef and Berkshire ground pork, served with our handmade tagliatelle pasta ribbons, and is served over a bed of parmesan cream sauce. *Wipes drool from keyboard*

Pork Belly Risotto

4. Pork Belly Risotto
New to our menu this summer, this dish is quickly moving to the top ranks for dads. We sear a flavor-packed Heritage pork belly on the grill and serve it over a bed of parmesan mushroom risotto. Garnished with a red wine reduction, this dish is sure to make you say, “WOW.”

Cioppino

5. Cioppino
Italian dads love to break out the family cioppino recipe during holidays, and the dads here at Bettolino are no different. Our signature cioppino starts with a slowly-simmered base of white wine and tomato broth. We add a hearty mix of mussels, clams, calamari, Chilean sea bass, and shrimp, and fresh herbs and serve it with a garlic-toasted ciabatta, making this an irresistible seafood delight.

Feeling hungry yet? Make a reservation to celebrate a meal with dad around our table. We can’t wait to see you!
