Bettolino’s New Menu Sneak Peek: 8 New Dishes

We like to keep things fresh around here using seasonal items and locally-sourced ingredients. (We shared the whole process of how we plan our menu here on our blog!) That means that there is always something new for you to come back and enjoy, and that fan favorites may make a return appearance for the season.

And since you’re family to us, we’re going to give you a sneak peek of the 8 dishes that are going to be coming to the menu this winter. Grab a napkin, because this is one post you’re going to be drooling over.

Two New Paninis for Lunch

We’re bringing back a fan favorite this season – the Hot Italian. Our take on this classic sandwich is served on our rustic Italian bread, layered with salami, prosciutto, and provolone with pepperoncini and our house Italian dressing.

Also making its appearance is our new Burrata & Pesto Panini. If the name itself doesn’t bring joy to your heart, then this list of ingredients will: our rustic Italian bread, burrata cheese, housemade pesto sauce, avocado spread, arugula, and sliced heirloom tomatoes. Say it with us: WOWOWOWOW.

D’Estate

Two Sensational Salads

Our popular lunch item, the D’Estate Bowl, is getting a little makeover and is about to be more popular than ever. The D’Estate Salad will keep its mixed greens, quinoa, cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, cucumbers, and almonds tossed in our house balsamic vinaigrette. It will make its first-ever appearance on Bettolino’s new menu in January with your option to enjoy it as-is for a starter, or as an entree by adding your choice of salmon, chicken, or shrimp.

The second salad is another twist on an old favorite. Our Beet Caprese is back, now as a stacked salad. Fresh slices of heirloom tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, and red beets are layered with arugula, basil oil, and micro basil.

Recipe of the month
Carbonara di Gamberi

Two Pastas Back by Popular Demand

This one deserves a drumroll, please… our Carbonara di Gamberi is back! We temporarily retired our twist on this classic pasta dish last year, but she’s back in action. Our handmade spaghettini is tossed with pancetta, shrimp, and parmesan. A creamy mix of egg yolk, shrimp stock, and cream complete this dish to make it just as flavorful as we remember it.

Our longtime guests know that another seasonal change that typically takes place on our seasonal menu is the rotation of our lasagna. Coming back by popular demand is our Lasagna di Agnello, with a bit of a new twist. This layered dish features lamb and artichoke ragu, pancetta, housemade fennel sausage, bechamel sauce, parmesan cheese, and a touch of red chili oil to kick it up a notch.

Polipo

Two Entrees You’ll Love to See Again

Our Capesante di Mais will make its return to our dinner menu, making seafood lovers rejoice. Four tender diver scallops are served over a bed of parmesan risotto that is tossed with pancetta and sweet corn. Garnished with a balsamic glaze, this dish is the perfect combination of sweet and savory.

And last, but certainly not least, we’re excited to bring back the Polipo, the South Bay’s most loved grilled Spanish octopus dish. Making its debut on our entree menu, this dish is served over buttery cannellini beans, sauteed spinach, and cherry tomatoes. We think it’s the best octopus around, but we’ll let you decide!
