Sharing the Dish: Our Dipping Oil Recipe

Not a day goes by that we don’t get asked about the delicious dipping oil recipe that we serve alongside our warm, fresh ciabatta bread from Giuliano’s bakery. Today, you’re in luck – because we’re sharing the dish on how we make it!

The Number One Secret

The number one secret to all of our recipes is high-quality ingredients. Over the years, we’ve tested dozens of vendors and only source the ones that we know are the best quality. Fresh ingredients, like our herbs, we source from other small and local businesses to support our local community as much as possible.

Sourcing locally also allows us to receive fresh deliveries daily, as opposed to getting produce that may have taken several days to travel between the farm, the grocery warehouse, store shelves, and then to us. The herbs that are featured in our dipping oil come from Valmonte Farm & Garden and the difference in flavor is astounding!

The Ingredients

The base of this recipe is made with high-quality olive oil – Corto is our brand of choice. Extra virgin olive oil is the only oil that is obtained from the fruit of the olive plant, unlike other oils that are obtained from the seeds. This results in an intense, yet well-balanced flavor in the final product.

We pour several gallons of the oil into a container, then add heaps of freshly chopped rosemary, basil, parsley, and garlic. We top it with another high-quality ingredient, balsamic vinaigrette, and give it a good stir.

All Good Things Take Time

The best part about this recipe is that there is no cooking involved. Time does the magic of infusing the flavors of all the ingredients into the oil. We let it sit for just a day or two before pulling it from the shelf, waiting for you to walk into the door, and ladling it into a dish for you to enjoy with your ciabatta!

Bring It Home to the Family

Our guests love this dipping oil so much that they’ve asked us to offer it as an item to purchase and take home. We’re excited to share that it’s now an item available on our catering menu!* Order a half-pint of the oil to level-up your next dinner party, serve it with the bread at your next family dinner, or spoon it over pasta or veggies for an extra burst of flavor. The possibilities are endless!

*Catering items require a 24-hour notice in order to fulfill. Due to fresh ingredients, store oil at room temperature for no more than one week.
